About Myofascial Science Ireland Ltd (MSI)

Rooted in Ireland’s rich heritage and guided by modern science, Myofascial Science Ireland Ltd embodies the art and evidence-based practice of hands-on healing.

Our emblem — the Silver Hand and the healing Serpent — reflects our mission: skilled therapeutic touch inspired by Irish myth, powered by medical knowledge, like Nuada’s legendary silver arm crafted by Dian Cécht. The entwined serpent reflects the Greek myth of the Rod of Asclepius. We believe in restoring strength and function through precision, care, and craft.

Nuada Airgetlám (Nuada of the Silver Hand) was a legendary king of the Tuatha Dé Danann in Irish mythology. He lost his hand in battle and, because a king had to be physically whole, he was forced to step down. Dian Cécht, the skilled physician of the Tuatha Dé Danann, crafted Nuada a perfectly functioning silver hand, restoring his ability and status. Together, they symbolise resilience, healing, and the fusion of craftsmanship and medical wisdom in Irish lore — a fitting inspiration for concepts of restorative care and skilled therapy.

Asclepius is the ancient Greek god of medicine and healing. Revered as a symbol of compassionate care and medical knowledge, he was believed to possess the power to restore health and even raise the dead. His symbol, the Rod of Asclepius — a single serpent coiled around a staff — has endured for millennia as an emblem of medicine and healthcare worldwide. The serpent represents renewal and rejuvenation, while the staff symbolises support and the healing journey. Together, they embody the timeless commitment to care and the balance between science and nature in healing.

MSI bridges cutting-edge myofascial research with clinical practice, empowering therapists, researchers, and students to deliver evidence-based care that honours tradition and embraces innovation.
